The higher professional education obtained graduating from the University of Latvia Faculty of Law in 2000.
Master’s Degree (mag. iur.) graduating from the University of Latvia Faculty of Law in 2002.
Since year 2003 – a PhD student in the University of Latvia Faculty of Law.

Member of the Latvian Bar Association

Since year 2002.

From 2002 to 2003 a lecturer at SIA „Biznesa augstskola Turība” [School of Business Administration Turiba].
As from 2003 an arbitrator at “Riga Arbitration court”.
As from 2002 an Attorney’s practice.
Since year 2003 Jānis Rozenbergs has participated in several international conferences with reports on topical criminal law issues.
